Online rentals: holiday cottages, seasonal lets and equipment
A holiday cottage, a seaside studio, six bikes, a sound system or a trailer: what you rent out does not sell like a jar of jam. The customer is not taking an item, they are taking dates. What can you rent out?
- Accommodation: holiday cottage, bed and breakfast, studio, holiday house or flat, seasonal rental;
- equipment: bikes, kayaks, tools, sound systems, tents, party equipment;
- a vehicle: trailer, van, small car or boat.
The customer chooses the dates
On the product page, your customer enters a start date and an end date, or a number of days. The shop works out the number of nights or days and the matching price. No more ten e-mails to find out whether the cottage is free in the second week of August.
No double bookings
Each unit is counted day by day. A cottage is one unit: as soon as it is rented for a night, that night is no longer offered. Six bikes are six units: the seventh customer sees that none are left for those dates. No more explaining to two families that they will have to share the same room.
A price per day or per night
You set a price per night for accommodation, or per day for equipment. The customer sees the total before paying, by card, PayPal or the payment method of your choice.
Take your bookings direct
The big rental platforms bring customers, but they take a share of every booking. Your own shop is an address to give to your regulars, to put on your Google listing or on your business cards. Returning customers book with you, direct. And you pay no commission to 123Ventes: rentals are included in the subscription, at €29.90 a month.

Do I need a special website to rent out a cottage?
No. Your 123Ventes shop can handle rental dates. You can even sell your products or your workshops there too.
How do I stop two customers booking the same dates?
Each unit is counted day by day. As soon as a night is booked, it is no longer offered to other customers.
Can I rent out several units of the same item?
Yes. Enter the number of units, for example six bikes, and the shop counts how many are left each day.
Is the price per day or per night?
You choose: per night for accommodation, per day for equipment. The total is worked out from the customer’s dates.
Does 123Ventes take a commission on my rentals?
No. You pay the subscription, and all of your rental takings are yours.
