Online shop for electricians: fixed prices, call-outs and service areas
The phone rings while your hands are inside a fuse box. Someone wants to know how much it costs to replace a socket, whether you work in their town, and when. You call back in the evening, and they have already found someone else.
A shop on 123ventes.com answers these questions for you: your fixed-price services, your prices and your towns are online, and the customer can book and pay without waiting for you to call back. Here are the questions electricians ask, and how 123Ventes answers them.

Can an electrician really sell online?
Yes, as long as the job is known in advance. Replacing a socket or a switch, fitting a light, installing a radiator, changing a circuit breaker, checking an installation: these are jobs you can price without going out to see them. Each one becomes a product, with its description, its photo and its price.
For jobs that need a visit, the shop sells the visit itself, or a deposit. The made-to-measure quote is still your business: 123Ventes isn’t quoting software, it is the shop window that brings the customer to you.
How do I present my services so customers can find their way around?
Sort them the way customers look for them: “Call-outs”, “Sockets and lighting”, “Fuse box”, “Heating”, “Safety upgrades”. On each product page, say what is included (labour, travel, standard parts) and what isn’t.
On 123Ventes, each product page accepts lists of options: number of sockets to replace, standard or USB socket, parts supplied by you or by the customer. The price is recalculated automatically according to the choice. See catalogue management.
How do I show the towns I travel to?
Here, the delivery options act as your service areas. With the “your own delivery” option, you choose the towns you cover, grouped into zones, with a travel charge for each zone: free in your own town, a few euros further away. A customer outside your zones can’t order, so they don’t waste your time.
The details are on the delivery options page.
Can the customer choose the day I come round?
Not with a diary: 123Ventes doesn’t offer appointment booking. The customer writes when they are available in the note attached to the order, “Tuesday morning ideally”, and you call them to confirm. You receive a paid, detailed order instead of a message on your answering machine.
How do I get a deposit paid before I order the parts?
Create a “Deposit” product for the amount of your choice, or one deposit per job. The customer pays by card or by bank transfer, and you order the fuse box or the radiator once the money has arrived. The balance is paid at the end of the work, as usual.
The invoice is created as a PDF as soon as payment is made, with your legal details. You follow each order in your 123Ventes dashboard. See order management.
Can I also sell small equipment?
Yes: light bulbs, smoke detectors, smart plugs, thermostats, extension leads. You manage the stock, and a product that is sold out can no longer be ordered. The customer can collect it from the workshop, receive it by parcel, or have you fit it when you come round.
What information do I have to show about my prices?
For repairs and call-outs at private homes, French regulations require you to inform the customer before the work: hourly rate or fixed prices, travel charges, and a written quote above a certain amount. Your product pages are the ideal place to set this out in black and white. Also mention your insurance and your qualifications (Qualifelec, the French electricians’ certification, and RGE, the French “certified environmental contractor” label, if you have them).
For the exact rules, check with your chamber of trades (chambre de métiers) or your trade association. For new installations, don’t forget the certificate of compliance approved by Consuel, the French body that inspects electrical installations.
How do I get found when someone searches for “electrician” in my town?
A shop on 123ventes.com has its own address, titles and descriptions, which you set in the dashboard. Write the names of your towns in your texts, and your pages stand a chance of showing up for “electrician + town”. Add your shop’s link to your Google Business Profile and on your van. See search engine optimisation.
How much does a 123Ventes shop cost for an electrician?
The subscription costs 29.90 € a month or 319.90 € a year, with hosting and the security certificate included, and no minimum term. 123Ventes takes no commission on your sales: only your payment provider’s fees apply. If you don’t have time to set it up, the turnkey set-up costs 400 €. The details are on the pricing page.
Your questions
Does 123Ventes take a commission on my jobs?
No. The subscription is fixed, at 29.90 € a month. A 120 € call-out earns you 120 €, minus only the card payment fees.
Can my customers pay by bank transfer?
Yes. Bank transfer is one of the payment methods: the order stays pending until the money arrives, then you mark it as “paid”.
Can I manage my shop from a job site?
Yes. The 123Ventes dashboard works on a phone: you see new orders, change a price or pause a service between two jobs.
I don’t have a shop: is that a problem?
No. The shop is online, and your customers find you on the internet. Collection of small equipment from the workshop is still possible if you wish.
Who helps me if I get stuck?
123Ventes support answers in French, by email and by phone, and it is included in the subscription. Your data is hosted in France.
